Maitriyodhini

Maitriyodhini first came in contact with Buddhism when she was a junior doctor nearly 20 yrs ago. She was ordained in 2024 and given her name, which means “she who is a warrior of love”. She lives in Edinburgh with her two children, where she works as a GP and mindfulness teacher. She is passionate about sangha and ensuring a welcoming, friendly and harmonious community, so that people can be supported in their practice, and the community can thrive, bringing benefit to all beings. She is the Women’s Mitra Convener for Edinburgh, where she is also part-Chair.
